The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has emphasized the importance of the Democratic Party's statute, underlining that he cannot hold two positions, as he is not like Lulzim Basha.

Invited to the "No Censorship" show, Berisha said that he does not exclude anyone from the party, as the PD statute does not provide for exclusions.

Among other things, Berisha stated that the Primaries cannot be abolished, as they are the innovation brought by DP.

" That's how the PD statute does not provide for exceptions and I am not Lulzim Basha.

I can't hold two positions. I do not take a statutory or personal position.

They have a charter, they are members of the DP, they are deputies of the DP.

There is no more Lulzim Basha practice.

The true face of today's ePD is before the rule of law, which means the full implementation of the statute. The second is the primaries. We promised the Albanians the change. I think this is an epochal change.

This is a change for a country like Albania, it is a substantial change in our effort for pluralism. DP in the primary is on a very big national mission. Time is a race within the party. The primaries cannot be removed, because this is the great innovation of the DP that it brings to Albania", said Berisha./ CNA.al
