Athens "responds" to Rama: There is no progress in defining the Executive Economic Zone with Albania

Greek media have reported that official Athens has denied Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements about advanced consultations on the delimitation of the EEZ with Greece.

The process for the delimitation of the EEZ with Albania was "frozen" after it was annulled by the Constitutional Court of Albania and Albania must continue with the necessary procedures.

Greece is confronting Turkey's rising rhetoric with a structured and proactive strategy, using tools and initiatives.

Greece promotes Maritime Spatial Planning and the promotion of marine parks against Turkish claims, while strengthening the defensive presence on the Aegean islands is an exercise in sovereignty.

Athens emphasizes that its foreign policy is not subject to the approval of third countries and will continue to work for peace and security in the region./ CNA
