Amnesty in prisons/ The Ministry of Justice reacts

The Ministry of Justice, after the interest of the citizens, has clarified whether there will be amnesty for the prisoners or not.

By way of a reaction, it is said that so far there is no draft, written or in consultation, for a draft law on a possible amnesty

"Based on the public interest, family members and persons in conflict with the law for an amnesty in the IEVP of Albania, the Ministry of Justice clarifies: So far there is no draft, written or in consultation, for a draft law on an amnesty possible. There is no working group in the Ministry of Justice, or in the General Directorate of Prisons, set up for this purpose.

The Ministry of Justice begs the media to use official information as well, as only source news that turns out to be false causes indignation, anger and mistrust among family members, persons in conflict with the law and the public, not only towards public institutions, but also the media itself", says the reaction of the Ministry of Justice. /CNA.al
