55 new tourist guides recently certified by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment joined the list of around 600 certified local and national guides.

The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, through a video message, said that these certifications are an indicator of the increase in employment in the tourism profession, related to the demands of the market.

"I signed 55 new guide certificates, adding to the group of 600 guides of all types, languages, different abilities from rafting to mountain climbing and more, an army of guides that until a few years ago could be counted on the fingers of hand. It is a news that I want to share with you because it shows how jobs are increasing in what today we call the tourism industry where there are a series of chain occupations that serve a whole picture of what we call touristic Albania. I want to thank the staff of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment who worked on the preparation of the documentation, but especially these young men and women who believe in this new employment market, which is not only a job, but a contribution to Albania because through skills of these young people, we present touristic Albania, from the natural heritage, to nature, but also the tourist services and offers that are so numerous today. This shows that there is a demand, this shows that there is a market and a future", said Minister Kumbaro, emphasizing that the profession of guide, beyond the presentation of the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the country, is important to offer safe tourism in areas with certain levels of difficulty, where the accompaniment of professional guides is necessary./ CNA
