Lleshaj admits it/ The vehicle was circulating with fake license plates

About a month ago, CNA.al denounced a scandal in which was involved the Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj. It is about buying a luxury vehicle type BMW, which Lleshaj says has cost about 50.000 euros.

CNA.al reported that the vehicle in question was purchased by the State Police, for the Contact Officer at the Albanian Embassy in Germany, but then the car was brought to Albania with German license plates, and as seen in the photo below, it was parked near the General Directorate of Police.

The vehicle in question was then targeted by the Albanian target AA 976 UT, and sent to the Ministry of Interior and used by Minister Sander Lleshaj. CNA.al went further in the investigation and the scandal continued to deepen.
On September 9, 2020, CNA.al, referring to official sources at state institutions, reported that the vehicle in question circulates with fake license plates.

After a public stand, where Sander Lleshaj stated that the vehicle with license plates AA 976 UT is owned by the Ministry of Interior, CNA.al on September 15, 2020, officially addressed the Ministry of Interior, where we requested to be made available the entire procedure and documents of purchase of the vehicle.

The scandal deepens

Further, it is self Minister of Interior Sander Lleshaj, which recognizes that the plates which are moving vehicle are fake. In the response received today from the editorial office of CNA.al, which bears the seal and signature of the Director of the Cabinet in the Ministry of Interior, it is stated that ?license plate AA 976 UT is in use of vehicles owned by the Ministry and its subordinate structures, and equipped with insurance in accordance with applicable law?.

?If you refer to the vehicle type BMW, owned by the Ministry of Interior, which has temporarily kept the above-mentioned license plate, we inform you that it is equipped with compulsory insurance?. So, the minister himself admits that the license plates are fake.
Beyond the fact that attached to the answer addressed to CNA.al, for the purchase of the car, it is accepted that the license plate was temporarily kept by the BMW vehicle, with which moves Sander Lleshaj.

The answer also states that these license plates have insurance. In fact, these license plates belong to a vehicle, and it is the vehicle that is provided with the relevant license plate, not the license plate.

But the license plates are of another vehicle, and have been temporarily placed on BMW, which is accepted by the ministry itself. On the other hand there is also a detail. Regarding the vehicle in question, CNA.al addressed an official letter to the General Directorate of Road Transport (DPSHTRR), which returned a ridiculous response, stating that ?we can not provide personal data of citizens without their consent?.

So, DPSHTRR says that it is a personal vehicle, and on the other hand the ministry says that it is a car owned by this institution. We are not dealing with a private vehicle. The ministry itself admits that the license plates were temporarily kept by this vehicle.
But why did the vehicle in which moves the minister, have to hold license plates of another institution?

Why was the vehicle not cleared at the moment it entered Albania?

Why was he not registered the moment he entered Albania?

The car has entered Albania for several months, but the minister admits that it moved with a vehicle with fake license plates. A fact that has been publicly acknowledged by the ministry, which says that those license plates have been temporarily kept.
On the other hand, Sander Lleshaj still does not issue the documents for the purchase of the vehicle, with which he has been circulating for several weeks with different license plates. As seen in the photo above, first with German license plates, and then with Albanian license plates.

We request the vehicle purchase documents and vehicle insurance documents. In order to make full transparency, and to explain once and for all to the citizens, what Sander Lleshaj should do is to publish the documents of the purchase of the vehicle, the date of entry into Albania, the way of registration and the insurance that he had, at the moment that we published the scandal./ CNA.al
