A good number of new phones are advertised as "water resistant", but this does not mean that they are waterproof.

Water resistance means that the device can withstand certain levels of water well without any substantial damage occurring.

How to fix it?

First, don't put it in a bowl of rice. It's just a myth as it doesn't work. Instead, follow these steps.

1. Turn off the device immediately and do not press any buttons.
