Google in 'trouble'/ Faces a lawsuit from tech giant CCI

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Wednesday ordered Google to pay 10 per cent of the Rs 1,337.76 crore penalty imposed on the tech giant by fair trade regulator CCI.

However, the measure did not take effect immediately, as authorities said they would approve any order after hearing other parties.

The appellate court has issued notices to the CCI and ordered it to file the case on February 13, the date on which both sides will have an opportunity to present their evidence and facts.
