Tesla reveals record figure/ 1.3 million vehicles shipped in 2022

Tesla reports 1.31 million deliveries in 2022, up 40% from last year.

Electric car manufacturer Tesla announced that it delivered 1.3 million vehicles in the last four months of 2022, a record number, 40% more than in 2021.

According to a consensus of analyst estimates compiled by FactSet, as of December 31, 2022, Wall Street expected Tesla to report about 427,000 deliveries for the final quarter of the year. Estimates updated in December and included in the FactSet consensus ranged from 409,000 to 433,000.

These latest estimates were in line with a consensus compiled by the company, shared by Tesla's vice president of investor relations, Martin Viecha.

Tesla started production at two new factories this year, in Austin, Texas, and Brandenburg, Germany, and increased production in Fremont, California, and in Shanghai, but has not disclosed production and delivery numbers by region./ CNA.al
