The Iliria club has closed the process of selecting a new coach for the second half of the season in the First Category, resolving the dilemmas regarding the direction of the Fushë-Krujë team's bench.

After the departure of coach Dritan Ismajli, the leaders have decided to entrust the team with a new name, with the aim of stabilizing the sporting situation and meeting the season's objectives.

Matias Tatanxhelo has been officially introduced as the new coach of Iliria.

The Italian-Argentine coach takes charge of the team at an important moment in the championship, where the priority remains ensuring survival in the First Division, but at the same time getting closer to the zone of teams fighting for promotion to the elite.

His appointment was made public through an official club announcement, which highlighted clear objectives for the continuation of the season.

In its communication, Iliria confirmed its trust in the new coach, wishing him a welcome and success at the helm of the white-and-blue team.

This decision comes as part of a technical reorganization, with the hope that the change in the bench will bring positive results in the coming weeks.

Regarding his career, Tatanxhelo has experience in the Albanian championship. Over the past year, he has managed the Shiroka team in two different stages, while for several months he was also the coach of Apolonia, also in the First Category, at the end of the 2024–2025 season.

This experience is expected to help him quickly adapt to the new reality and the demands of the Illyria club.
