Chose Bayern to continue his career, De Ligt reveals who recommended his transfer to the Bavarians

Matthijs de Ligt preferred Bayern Munich as the team where he will continue his career, with the Dutchman having signed a 5-year contract with the Bavarians.

This transfer has cost the Germans a full 67 million euros, much of which has been poured into the coffers of the Juventus club.

But for this transfer, the 23-year-old received a suggestion from Louis Van Gaal. Speaking to Bild, De Ligt revealed that he discussed his future with Van Gaal at the start of the summer, when the idea of ??joining Bayern came up.

"At the beginning of the summer I discussed my future with Van Gaal and he had nothing but good words for Bayern. He praised their philosophy and told me that if I went there, I would fall in love with them," concluded the 23-year-old.
