"Waltz" of coaches in Serie A, big clubs prepare changes on the bench

The current Serie A season is coming to a heated end not only on the pitch, but also on the benches of the biggest teams. Apart from Inter, who still have no certainty about Simone Inzaghi's future if he does not achieve the many objectives he is fighting for, all the other big teams seem destined for a major change in the coaching staff. Some of them will change direction after just a few months of their last appointments, while for others it will be a natural move after several seasons with the same coach.

One of the most important changes will happen at Atalanta. Gian Piero Gasperini, the architect of the team's transformation from Bergamo to a European-level team, has announced that he will not renew his contract that expires in June. The club does not want to continue with a coach who has already decided to leave, so the parties are expected to part ways.

Replacing him will not be an easy task, given that Gasperini has created a unique identity for Atalanta, based on high intensity and attacking football. President Perkazi seems keen to maintain this philosophy and has put Igor Tudor at the top of the list of candidates. The former Marseille and Verona coach shares many tactical elements with Gasperini, especially in aggressive play and quick transitions. Other alternatives are Roberto Mancini and Maurizio Sarri, but bringing them in would require a major change in the style of play that Atalanta has cultivated in recent years.

Milan is also heading towards a new era. Sergio Cosensao will leave at the end of the season, and the red and black club has the right to do so without financial penalties. The names for his successor are numerous and range from experienced profiles like Massimiliano Allegri, to coaches with more modern ideas like Roberto De Zerbi.

However, the dream of the red and black fans remains Antonio Conte. His situation at Napoli is still unclear, and despite the possible title with the Neapolitans, a split between him and president De Laurentiis is not ruled out. If this happens, Milan will do everything to convince the count to take over the team.

Roma, after a season of ups and downs, will change coach again. Claudio Ranieri, who has helped stabilize the team, will not continue as coach, but will have a leadership role at the club. At the top of the list for his successor is Gasperini. The Americans of the Friedkin family see him as the right man to build a competitive team and bring the missing stability.

At Juventus, the situation is also unclear. Thiago Motta, who came with high expectations, has failed to convince with his results and style of play. Some of his decisions in managing the group and the lack of progress on the pitch have led the black and white leaders to consider parting ways with him, regardless of whether the team secures a place in the Champions League or not.

For his successor, the two main names being floated are Stefano Pioli and Roberto De Zerbi. Pioli has an advantage due to his experience in Serie A and his past as a Juventus player, while De Zerbi represents a more modern alternative, with a more innovative style of play.
