Në moshën 38-vjeçare dhe me një karrierë prej 19 vitesh, sulmuesi brazilian Fred i ka dhënë lamtumirën futbollit profesionist. Sulmuesi i Fluminenses përshëndeti tifozët e tij në stadiumin legjendar “Maracana”.

I futur në fushë në vend të argjentinasit German Cano, në minutën e 78′ të ndeshjes ndaj Cearas, për javën e 16-të të kampionatit brazilian, Fred e mbylli karrierën me fitore, 2-1 për Fluminensen dhe me prezencën e 382-të me fanellën e klubit nga Rio De Zhaneiro.
