Punished for taking advantage of betting? The investigation for the Brazilian footballer begins

Lucas Paqueta risks a lot. The English Federation has opened a disciplinary investigation for the Brazilian footballer.

It is suspected that the player was deliberately punished with a yellow card in order to profit from betting, something that is prohibited.

Paqueta, in a reaction, has denied all the accusations against him, while he appears disappointed about the treatment he is being given.

" I am extremely surprised and upset that the English FA has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against me. For nine months I have cooperated every step of the way with their investigation and made all information available to them. I deny all charges and will fight to clear my name. ", writes Paqueta.
