Arsenal has said an emotional goodbye to Granit Xhaka, after seven years spent together, as the Albanian midfielder will continue his career at Bayer Leverkusen.

He has played 297 games for Arsenal, scoring 23 goals and making 29 assists.

Arsenal has published a beautiful video of Xhaka on social networks, while the official website of the London club also published a long article.

"We are saying goodbye to a fantastic player and a person dear to all of us. It was an incredible journey for him and he has given absolutely everything for this club. The influence that Granit has had on his teammates on the field and colleagues at the club proves how popular he was.

We cannot thank Granit enough for his service and contribution to the club over the years. We wish Granit and his family all the best in the next period of their lives", said Arteta.

Granit Xhaka was a hated player for the Arsenal fans, but with work, seriousness and dedication, the Albanian midfielder returned to his best form, becoming not only the most fundamental player of the team, but also the idol of the fans since yesterday he didn't want him in the club.
