Manchester United tension between Maguire and De Gea

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been captured telling David de Gea to "shut up" during a tense exchange in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final, where they suffered a 3-0 defeat by Sevilla.

Both the Englishman and the Spaniard had disastrous performances at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, where the six-time Europa League winners won easily thanks to two goals from Youssef En-Nesyri and a header from Loic Balde.

The first goal was an absolute gift, as De Gea played the ball to Maguire, who failed to control it well and was immediately put under pressure.

Erik Lamela took advantage of that mistake and then the ball ended up to En-Nesyri, who easily scored on De Gea's goal. Both were adjudged guilty of that error and a separate video from the first half showed a heated argument between the pair.

De Gea was seen shouting at the defender, who responded with a hand gesture. It could have been that Maguire was looking for more communication, but that is being taken in England as a sign for the keeper to keep quiet.
