European Super League? UEFA issues an official statement

UEFA has rejected the voices of the Spanish media on the planning of a new format, Superliga model, that would be applied from 2027.

In an official statement, the European football governing body said it already has the new Champions League formula, which will start next season, and is not thinking about any new version.

"UEFA is not working on any new project. We have clearly expressed and documented our opposition to the Superliga, so rumors about a new idea are completely unfounded. We look forward to the application of the new competition format for clubs, which will start from next season", says UEFA's response.
