The "San Siro" stadium is removed from the Champions League final,

At the meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, it was decided that the "San Siro" stadium will not be able to host the Champions League final for 2027.

This decision has come because, according to UEFA, the municipality of Milan has not guaranteed the renovation of the stadium.

At the same time, it is announced that UEFA has reopened the candidacy process and the final decision will be taken in the period of May/June 2025.

DECISIONS MADE AT THE MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:

– The new UEFA strategy for girls' football 2024-2030 was approved.

– The solidarity fund for clubs not participating in UEFA competitions for the period 2024/27 was defined

– The 2027 UEFA Champions League final will not take place at the San Siro stadium because the municipality of Milan has not guaranteed the renovation of the stadium. The UEFA Executive Committee has re-opened the candidacy process and the final decision will be made in the May/June 2025 period.

– The host venue for the 2025 UEFA European U-19 Futsal Championship was set to Chisinau, Moldova.

– The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee will take place in Lausanne, Switzerland on 16 December 2024.
