Chaotic situation with Lookman, Percassi: We had agreed on clubs outside Italy

Atalanta's delegated administrator, Luca Percassi, has clarified the situation of striker Ademola Lookman, confirming the existence of an agreement for his transfer only outside Italy.

According to Percassi, Lookman had told the club that he did not want to play for any other Italian club out of respect for Atalanta and for everything he experienced in Bergamo.

However, he adds that the situation is different now, and if Inter want to take advantage of this change, they will have to pay a full 50 million euros. The price has been set due to the fact that they are a direct rival in the championship.

"Last year, faced with a €20 million offer from PSG, the player asked us to sell him. Atalanta, being a reliable club, had promised to sell the player in the current transfer window, based on two points that he himself had asked us: first, to reach a European super club and that in Italy he would never be seen again with a different jersey than Atalanta's. Both for what he has done here, and for what he has received from the club.

"Today, the situation you know is completely different. However, the club is always attentive to evaluate the times and values of its players, but as always, it is the Atalanta club that decides," he said.

Meanwhile, for offers from abroad, there is more room for negotiation due to the previous agreement with the player. Atalanta remains in full control of the situation and is not expected to make any concessions.
