Football competitions are added, UEFA formalizes another one

Another one is added to the diverse football competitions. UEFA and the South American Football Federation (CONMEBOL) after the famous "Finalissima" played between the winner of the European Championship and the winner of the America's Cup, cooperate again.

This time, the winner of the Europa League and the winner of the South American Cup will face each other, as the first edition will take place in Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. Coincidentally, Sevilla is the European team that will participate as a fresh winner of the Europa League, while on the other side of the field is the Ecuadorian team of Independiente del Valle.

The match is scheduled to be played on July 19 starting at 22:00. In its statement, UEFA makes it known that it is a single match, which, if it ends in a draw, will immediately go to penalty kicks without the need to play extra time of 30 minutes.

Another interesting fact is that the first edition will be named after "Antonio Puertas", the former Sevilla footballer who died after a cardiac arrest on the field in 2007 when he was only 22 years old.
