Amorim sacked, United looking for coach. Italian targeted

Roberto De Zerbi is seen as the leading candidate to take over at Manchester United from next season.

The English team is currently being managed by Michael Carrick on an interim basis. The latter achieved an important 2-0 victory over Manchester City in the derby, but his position remains temporary until the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, United's management are impressed by De Zerbi's work. The Italian coach previously stood out with Brighton in the Premier League.

Currently, he is in charge of Marseille, with whom he finished last season in second place.

De Zerbi's contract expires in 2027, necessitating an agreement between the clubs. Manchester United sacked Ruben Amorim a few days ago due to negative results.
