Ragip Xhaka: The Serbs tortured me for 6 months, they did not allow us to see the light

Ragip Xhaka, the father of Gran and Taluant Xhaka, remembered the torture he went through at the hands of the Serbs. In an interview given today for "Sëiss Blick", he confessed many things about the past.

Ragipi remembered the moment when he was arrested by the Serbian police in 1986. The father of the footballers recounted the moments of horror that he spent 6 months in a small room with 4 other people.

"They put me in handcuffs, put me in a van and put me in jail. They created reasons to arrest me because we were just students protesting peacefully.

We spent 23 hours and 50 minutes in the cell every day. We could only go outside for ten minutes, but we were not allowed to look at the sky. We were asked every day. They were looking for an explanation for something we didn't know. They tortured me every day for six months.

They beat me on my hands, legs, feet and body. They used sticks and asked me to confess. I didn't know what they wanted me to accept. I was just part of the demonstration.

I only told (Granite) 50 percent of what happened. Only my wife and father know absolutely everything that happened during that period", confessed the father of Granit and Taulanti.
