"I can't even go to the funeral"/ Pirro Dhima tears up in the live show about the volleyball player's death: He was my good child

With a strong emotional charge, the well-known weightlifter of Albanian origin, Pirro Dhima, spoke about the volleyball player Alexandros Nikolaidis, who passed away at the age of 43, defeated by a rare form of cancer. The veteran weightlifting champion and Olympic medalist was in the ERT broadcast studio and couldn't hold back tears when he mentioned his relationship with Nikolaidis.

"Alexander admired me, he was the best kid. We lived many moments with Aleksandro and he always called me asking about Anastasia and our children. Very sweet child, very kind child. When I woke up in the morning, because yesterday I slept late at two o'clock and we had gathered with my friends and went out, I got up to get Nikolakis ready for school... It's very sad," he said.

"I don't want to go through this again for anyone. And don't let it happen to anyone... I don't know, maybe life itself has made me so sensitive", said Pirro Dhima.
