Boxing legend passes away

One of the biggest names in boxing history, George Foreman, has passed away at the age of 76. His family confirmed the news, describing him as a true champion not only in the ring, but also in life.

Foreman will be remembered for his incredible successes, including his 1973 world title win over Joe Frazier and his epic showdown with Muhammad Ali at the “Rumble in the Jungle” a year later. After initially retiring in 1977, he returned ten years later and in 1994 made history by becoming the oldest heavyweight champion at the age of 45.

In addition to his boxing career, Foreman became a successful entrepreneur, linking his name to the "George Foreman Grill," a kitchen appliance that was an enormous success.

Born in Texas, he had a difficult childhood but found solace in boxing, where he managed to win the Olympic gold medal in 1968. His personal life was equally rich, with five marriages and ten children, including five sons, all named George.
