Mehmeti: My blood is Albanian, I am disappointed by the National Team. I hope to play against England

Anis Mehmeti hopes to be part of Albania against England. In a recent interview, the attacker said that his blood is Albanian and he feels disappointed that it has not accumulated for a long time.

Among other things, Mehmeti expressed that he hopes to have minutes in the match against England in the World Cup qualifiers.

"I grew up in a simple home and all I wanted to do was play football. This is where I learned to be fearless. I was born in England, but my blood is Albanian and I speak Albanian.

I always joke with the guys that, with respect, I don't care who's in front of me.

The England-Albania match is the kind of challenge you live for. I played three times for Albania, but there was a period where I was not called up last year. It's disappointing but hopefully I'll get a chance to play against England.

I ended up without a club for a while due to Covid. I have always believed in myself, but there are doubts when there are five months without a club", said Anis Mehmeti.
