"He found me in the toilet and jumped on me", reveals the new version of Dani Alves

The Catalan daily ARA reports this Monday a new version of the story of Dani Alves, who was arrested about a month ago on charges of sexual assault.

According to the same source, the Brazilian said that he initially lied to "protect the victim", already accusing the 23-year-old of having "sexually assaulted" him.

"Actually, I wanted to protect that "young lady". I was sitting in the bathroom and she came up to me and jumped on top of me. I did not touch that girl", Dani Alves is said to have declared.

However, genetic evidence and surveillance video images collected by authorities disprove the footballer's new version.

According to the Catalan daily, Dani Alves will be told this week whether he will be released on bail or remain in custody.
