Mbappe: Messi didn't get the respect he deserved in France

The striker of Paris SG, Kylian Mbappe, in an interview given to "La Gazzetta dello Sport", spoke about the departure of Leo Messi.

The French footballer calls the way his former teammate was treated shameful, saying that Messi did not get the respect he deserved in France.

"We are talking about the best player in the history of football. It's never good news when someone like Messi leaves. Personally, I don't understand why so many people were relieved that he left. We are talking about Messi. He should be respected and instead he didn't get the respect he deserved in France. Shame, but it happened. We will have to do everything we can to replace him", said Mbappe.

Leo Messi will continue his career in MLS, where he has signed with the Inter Miami team.
