The Albanian Football Association Executive Committee approves the restructuring of the referee category for the 2025-2026 season

Following the decisions adopted by the Executive Committee, the Arbitration Committee, in collaboration with the Arbitration Sector, has proposed changes to the categorization of referees and officials for the 2025-2026 season.

The names of the categories of referees and observers have been changed:

First Category (was Superior)
Second Category (was First)
Third Category (was Second)
Amateur Category (was Third)

The number of referees and assistants in each category is as follows:

First Category: 30 referees and 40 assistants
Second Category: 20 referees and 40 assistants
Third Category: 25 referees and 30 assistants
Amateur Category: 30 referees

This change aims to improve the organization of matches and the professional development of referees, adapting the structure to the increased level of competition in the Abissnet Superiore and the First Category.
