The U-16 national team starts preparations, the LIST with the 20 players gathered is announced

The Albanian Football Federation is making final preparations to welcome the matches of the international tournament 'UEFA Development U-16' for boys, which will take place in our country on May 2, 4 and 7.

As it was announced earlier, in addition to the Albanian U-16 National Team, the representatives of Moldova, Azerbaijan and the Faroe Islands will also participate in this tournament, as for the first time all the challenges of this tournament will take place in one from the 'Home of Football' fields.

Albania U-16 will start gathering on Saturday afternoon at the 'Tropikal' complex, in Durrës, where they will also hold training sessions, as the coach of the small red and black national team, Ervin Bulku, announced this Friday the list with the names of 20 footballers called for this important competition for the ages.

11 of the 20 players invited by the U-16 national team staff are active in Albanian clubs, while 9 of them play in teams abroad such as Udinese, Kaiserlautern, Darmstad, Brescia, Genoa and others. These footballers have previously been part of the U-15 and U-16 national teams and have been tested continuously in the selections and numerous gatherings of the National teams.

The tournament will kick off on May 2, as the first match will be the one between the Faroe Islands and Azerbaijan, which is scheduled to be played at 11:00. Therefore, Albania will face Moldova at 17:00. The second matches of the tournament take place on May 4, with Moldova facing the Faroe Islands at 11:00, while Albania - Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place at 17:00. The last matches of the tournament will be played on May 7. Azerbaijan will play against Moldova at 11:00, while the Reds and Blacks will play the Faroe Islands at 19:00.
