AFF investment, works begin for the new field at the "Martin Cani"

Within the framework of the important infrastructural investments that the Albanian Football Federation has undertaken throughout the country, special attention is also being paid to projects related to social responsibility.

The Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) has approved the construction of a mini-football field near the "Martin Cani" museum, a project which has already begun to be implemented.

This investment carries a special meaning, as it is linked to the memory of Martin Cani, who tragically lost his life near the "Fan Noli" school in November 2024, an event that affected the entire Albanian public opinion.

Through this project, the Albanian Football Federation aims not only to preserve the memory of Martin Can, but also to promote the values ??of sport, education and solidarity, as important tools for raising awareness among younger generations.

At the premises of the "Martin Cani" museum, the inauguration of the start of the works was attended by the Projects Department specialist, Pamela Ndocaj, and Martin's parents, Angel and Florina Cani.

Pamela Ndocaj, the specialist of the Projects Department, emphasized that the field at the "Martin Cani" museum is a concrete step to combine memory, sports and education, bringing together new generations and encouraging dedication and respect.

"As part of our social responsibility, the Albanian Football Association is committed to bringing not only sports development, but also educational and community values. The construction of the mini-field at the "Martin Cani" museum is an effort to combine memory, sport and education in a single environment. We are convinced that football has the power to unite new generations, to foster commitment and respect, and this field will be a concrete step towards this goal."

Florina Cani, Martin's mother, thanked the Albanian Football Association, saying that the new field will always remember her son and his dreams.

"I thank you from the bottom of my heart for turning this pain into strength for us. Martini had many dreams and he wanted to be like Cristiano Ronaldo. He always played on the field that you are doing, you have taken over. I thank you endlessly. Every child who will come to this field and every ball that will roll will remember Martini. He was a special child with a big heart and I want him to remain among us."

This project is part of the AFF's ongoing initiatives to contribute to the community through investments that promote human values ??and the development of sport in the service of society.
