Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of Germany, has reacted to the bitter news of the death of soccer legend Franz Beckenbauer.

"When Beckenbauer walked into a room, there was a different light. For me, Franz was the best player in our history. The way he interpreted the role changed the way we played," said the coach.
