For the first time in history, the match between Partizan and BATE will see UEFA's innovation in action

The Champions League match between Partizan and BATE Borisov will see the Reds play at the "Air Albania" stadium for the participation in the most important competition for clubs on the continent. A choice dictated by the desire to have as many fans present as possible, but also by the condition set by UEFA.

The latter has confirmed today that, for the first time in history, VAR will be used in the first qualifying round of the Champions League, an innovation for the tournament. In previous years, the video assistant was used from the third round and the play-offs of the tournament, but it has been decided to give importance to every match, from the first round of what is regarded as the elite competition.

Thus, Partizan has not been able to play its matches in the Champions League at "Arena e Demave", but has been forced to transfer to "Air Albania" for this reason as well.
