Gyokeres makes drastic decision for the future

Viktor Gyokeres has taken drastic steps to force his way out of Sporting Lisbon. The Swedish striker has refused to show up for training and has told the club that he will no longer play for them.

His name has been linked with several big European clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus, but the Londoners are the favourites and are said to have prepared a five-year contract. Gyokeres has expressed his desire to return to the Premier League, where he previously played for Brighton.

He feels betrayed by Sporting's president after an agreement to release him for €60m plus bonuses was not honoured. Arsenal are reported to have surpassed that offer, but a final deal is still pending.

The Gyokeres has had an incredible season with 54 goals in 52 games and is looking for a big step in his career. His departure from the Portuguese club seems inevitable.
