However, his departure has not been without controversy, as Theo has criticized the club's management and some decisions that, according to him, no longer represent the values ??that brought him to Milan. He expressed regret that he could not continue where his heart was set. In his post, he highlighted his gratitude to his teammates, coaches and especially Paolo Maldini.

After six years at this club, the time has come to say goodbye.

I arrived at AC Milan in 2019 with dreams, desire and the emotion of wearing a jersey full of history. Today I leave after experiencing unforgettable moments, such as winning Serie A and the Italian Super Cup, and above all after sharing the dressing room with extraordinary people.

Heartfelt thanks to my teammates, every coach who believed in me, and especially to Paolo Maldini, for his support, vision and leadership.

And thank you to the red and black fans, who have always been there, in good times and bad. Feeling your support has been a privilege that I will never forget and will always cherish.

My decision to leave was not easy. I always knew where I wanted to be and AC Milan has always been my priority. But, unfortunately, not everything depends on one person. The direction the club has taken and some recent decisions do not reflect the values ??or ambitions that brought me here. It is time to close one chapter and start another, different but equally important for me.

I am leaving with my head held high, because I have always given everything for this club, fully committed and sharing the same dreams as these fans. I am leaving with a full heart and with the hope that Milan will soon return to the place it deserves. Milan will always be a part of me.
