After only one season in the First Category, Skënderbeu will return to Superiore, after mathematically securing it two weeks from the end, after the 4-0 victory in Cërrik against Turbina.

Serbian coach Ivan Gvozdenovic also has an indisputable credit for this success, who after being declared 3 times champion as a footballer in the elite of Albanian football, is now only one victory away from the title as a coach in the First Category.

In an interview for News 24, Gvozdenovic claimed that there was a lot of pressure, as Skënderbeu is a big name in Albanian football, but he succeeded.

"It was a very difficult moment for us, because Skënderbeu is a big club, with a big name not only in Albania, but also in Europe and we are in the Super League. It was a big pressure, very difficult, but we all succeeded together and are in the place where we deserve it.

I haven't talked about the contract yet, we haven't finished yet, we still have two weeks, we have time, but we will sit at the table and talk together. I am very positive.

As far as I know, the club has a very big and very serious project for the next season.

I don't know anything about UEFA's punishment, because it's the club's business, but for the rest I think we're in the Super League, we're a big club, we'll fight again to bring Skanderbeg back to the top.

I am very happy and excited, because I was also a player of Skenderbeu, I was declared champion 3 times. When I came here it was a difficult moment, the players had lost confidence, we were as if asleep, but week after week we were better and now I am very happy. I know how Skenderbeu is, the fans know, everyone knows now, I am very happy and calm. From these 14 weeks I am now very calm, because it was a lot of pressure.
