The court takes the final decision on Platini and Blatter

Michel Platini and the former president of FIFA, Sep Blatter, have been found not guilty by the Federal Criminal Court of Bellinzona regarding the charges of corruption and tax evasion in FIFA decision-making matters.

Platini had been accused of breaking the law by illegally participating in the decision-making of the world's highest football authority while he held the post of UEFA president.

The collaboration with Sep Blatter had made the duo benefit from several million euros from lobbying in various events and determining the places where the competitions would be held, which they were responsible for. These accusations have already been rejected by the court decision that found both Blatter and Platini innocent.

At the end of the process, Platini himself said a few words emphasizing his happiness for this court decision in his favor.

" Regarding the decision of the jury, I want to say that this morning I experienced happiness for myself and all my loved ones for the fact that justice was finally served. This decision puts an end to 7 years of slander and manipulations that have been made against me ", said Platini.
