Victory for the European Super League, the Madrid court gives the right

The creation of the Superliga is one of the main topics that has been constantly discussed in football. FIFA and UEFA have been against the idea of ??the Super League from the beginning, but the Madrid court has given its decision, of course the two highest football institutions will not like it at all.

The Commercial Court of the Spanish capital has in fact accepted the appeal of "A22Sports", where the Superliga can exist and the clubs that are still part of it cannot be sanctioned by UEFA and FIFA, otherwise the principle of merit that informs competition law would be postponed.

This new development was reported by Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports, who shared details about some of the court documents from the case. FIFA and UEFA cannot justify their anti-competitive behavior as if they were the only custodians of some European values. Therefore, the decision orders that both institutions refrain from adopting any measure or action and from issuing any statement that directly or indirectly hinders the preparation or development of the Super League.

The tournament was created to provide a new football league, which would be more financially fruitful for clubs. The founding members of the competition were Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Milan, Inter, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus.

But, of those 12 clubs, nine left the Super League, with the project lasting just 48 hours after it was launched in 2021. But Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus still remained committed to the project.
