Germany-Italy for the semi-final/ Spalletti promises changes, Nagelsmann: I

Germany won the first leg of their quarter-final against Italy in the Nations League 2-1, and will now play at home for the return leg.

In Dortmund, a very beautiful and hard-fought challenge is expected, where the two great European national teams aim to advance to the semi-finals.

The Germans have the advantage of winning the first leg, but coach Julian Nagelsmann stated that on the pitch they will think as if the score is 0-0.

At the press conference, Nagelsmann stated that his team is aiming for another victory, this time at home, although he acknowledged the difficulties.

"We will think about the 0-0 game. We will try to win at home. I expect a similar challenge to the first one. I expect to see a lot of things from the ones in Milan. I remember 2006. I am still not happy that Germany did not win. However, for me it is more important to talk about the present and not about the past. We want to write our own history. I am not afraid of the speed of the Italians. We are in good shape, we are alert. We have good solutions for this match. We have not decided on the formation yet. Both teams did well in the first game. Gorecka will start. He was good in defense and attack, so he will be on the field", declared Nagelsmann.

On the other hand, Italy coach Luciano Spalletti stated that there will be changes to the lineup, while asking his team to repeat the first match, despite the loss.

"I will make four changes to the formation. There are some defeats that make things seem like they never happened. This was like that. We conceded two goals due to lack of concentration. We did what we had to do to win, but we didn't. Basically we will try to repeat the same things to get the victory. If we do the same things as in the first match, the result will be different. On the pitch I will use less imagination for individual choices," declared Spalletti.

The Germany-Italy match will be played this Sunday evening, starting at 8:45 PM, at the "Signal Iduna Park" stadium.
