Albania-Andorra, the referee who will decide justice is revealed

The match between Albania and Andorra, valid for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, will be refereed by Austrian referee Sebastian Gishamer. The 36-year-old, who has held the FIFA badge since 2019, has been appointed as the main referee for this match by UEFA.

Although Gishamer is an experienced referee in the Austrian championship, he has not had much experience at high international levels.

So far, he has never refereed Albania before, but has had two matches with the Kosovo national team. Meanwhile, he has previous experience with Andorra, being the main referee in the challenge against Kosovo in Pristina, during 2023.

Sebastian Gishamer will not be alone in this challenge, as justice at the "Arena Komëbtare" stadium will be administered by a team of Austrian referees. Roland Rieder and Santino Schreiner have been appointed as assistants, while Walter Altmann will be the fourth referee.

Technology will play a key role in this match as well, and the VAR system will be managed by two Austrian referees: Manuel Schuettengruber and Sara Telek.
