The Albanian U-17 national team starts training today for the two friendly matches against North Macedonia that are scheduled to be played on June 26 and 28, as both challenges will be played at the 'Elbasan Arena' stadium.

The new coach of the Reds and Blacks of this age group, Ardi Behari, has invited 21 players for these two friendly matches against North Macedonia, with most of the players who have been part of the U-17 National Team before, but also the chain teams of ages. Among the 21 players gathered, 10 of them are active in foreign championships, with teams such as Juventus and Empoli in Italy, Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in Greece, Crystal Palace in England, etc., while the rest play in the Albanian championship.

The Reds will start preparations for these two important friendlies from today, as they will first be accommodated in Pogradec, and then they will move to Elbasan. The Communication Department of the AFL informs that both matches will take place at the 'Elbasan Arena' stadium. The first meeting between Albania and North Macedonia was planned to be played in Ohrid, but the two federations have agreed on the decision that the first meeting will also be played at the 'Elbasan Arena' stadium.

The Reds will play the first match against their peers from North Macedonia, at the 'Elbasan Arena' stadium, starting at 18:00. So, the second friendly meeting will be played two days later, on June 28, at the same time and in the same stadium.

Albania U-17 has also played other friendly matches this year, while also playing in the 'Elite Round' of the European Championship qualifiers for this age group. Meanwhile, these friendlies are important for the technical staff of the U-17 national team and coach Ardi Behari to test the group and to validate the group within the preparations for the European Championship qualifiers for this age group.
