First win for coach Chivu, but Inter look tired

Inter achieved their first victory in the Club World Cup under coach Cristian Chivu, overturning the result against Urawa Red Diamonds and taking an important step towards qualifying for the next stage.

However, the team still looks physically and mentally tired from the end of last season and the changes on the bench. Chivu is trying to bring tactical changes compared to the scheme used by Inzaghi, focusing more on player movement.

On the pitch, the lack of quality in the construction of the attack was noticeable, with Zalewski and Esposito not fully convincing. Lautaro Martinez was decisive with his individual ability to solve the match.

 Valentin Carboni's name is mentioned as a possible solution for the role between attack and midfield, after recovering from a serious injury. The club's strategy could change and he could stay in the team, to be part of the new project with a focus on youth.
