Albanian celebration in North Macedonia, Shkëndija wins the championship

Shkëndija e Tetovo is officially the champion of North Macedonia for the 2024–2025 football season, securing the fifth title in the club's history. The red and black team managed to close the championship accounts two weeks before the end, after a 2-1 victory in the match against Rabotnicki, which took place at its stadium.

The championship was characterized by a steady and solid performance by Shkëndija, who held the top spot in the standings for most of the season. With this result, the Jeton Beqiri-led team mathematically secured the title, despite the fact that the closest follower in the standings, Sileksi, is only four points behind.

Shkëndija's next match is against Gostivar, a team that has withdrawn from the championship, and the result is expected to be registered as a victory on the table for the Tetovo team, which allows them to maintain their lead in the standings without direct competition.

This is the first title for Shkëndija after a four-year wait, as the last time the team won the championship was in the 2020–2021 season. During this time, the championship has been dominated by Albanian teams, demonstrating their strong presence in Macedonian football.

After Shkëndija's victory in 2021, Skopje was declared the champion of 2022, while in the following two seasons the title went to Struga. With Shkëndija's return to the top of local football, the chain of successes of Albanian clubs in this championship continues.
