Albanian party in Latvia, Partizan wins with an upset

Partizani won with the numbers 1-2, after an overturn in the transfer to Valmiera, a valid match for the third qualifying round of the Conference League.

Rrapaj ignited the celebration of the "reds" present at the Riga stadium, that in the 76th minute he stunned the goalkeeper after a beautiful shot from a distance.

Earlier, it was Tedi Cara who shook the opponent's net, scoring in the 58th minute of the match.  

Meanwhile, the first half ended with a 1-0 lead for the Latvians, who scored in the 27th minute.

The "Reds" started the second half at a different pace, looking for the equalizing goal in the first minutes.

 Valmiera's only goal is the signature of Brazilian Gustavo Silva, who beat Cirko after a long-range shot.

Today's victory is a step towards qualification for Zekic's supporters, who will play the second act in the return match that will be played on August 17 at "Elbasan Arena".  

The qualification would send Partizan to the Conference League play-offs, where they would face the loser of the Astana-Ludogorets pair.
