The figures confirm, Manchester United is having its worst season in history

Manchester United, once a symbol of dominance in English and European football, are experiencing perhaps the darkest season in the club's history. The latest defeat to Newcastle has sealed another grim page in the Red Devils' record books, confirming that the 2024-2025 edition is the club's weakest ever in the Premier League.

Currently, the team led by coach Ruben Amorim has only 38 points, with only six weeks left in the championship. The statistics are ruthless. Even if United manage to win all the remaining matches, they will collect a maximum of 56 points, a quota that does not even reach the balance of the infamous 2021-2022 season, when with 58 points it was considered the weakest year in the club's modern history.

The difference is that back then, Rangnick's team finished in sixth place, securing at least a place in Europe. This time, the situation is much more dramatic. Manchester United are 14th in the Premier League and any hope of European qualification through the championship has long since ended.
