Player and owner, Modric buys shares of the famous club in England

Luka Modric is expanding his horizons in the world of football, this time not as a player, but as an investor. The Croatian star and Real Madrid midfielder recently became a co-owner of Welsh club Swansea.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Modric has bought a stake in the English Championship club, although the exact percentage has not been disclosed. The move will see the 39-year-old take on a wider role in football, contributing not only on the pitch but also to the strategic development of the Swansea club.

This move has not come as a warning of an imminent retirement from football, on the contrary. Modric has clearly stated his intention to continue his career at the highest level, with the goal of participating in the 2026 World Cup with the Croatian national team. Also, despite speculation about a possible departure, he wants to continue wearing the Real Madrid jersey for the next season.
