The figures confirm it, Conte fails miserably in the Champions League

Napoli are going through a difficult period and the negative results have raised questions about Antonio Conte's work. There are several reasons: the numerous changes in the squad, the change in the playing model, injuries and the lack of intensity of last season.

However, the loss against PSV has also brought into focus Conte's well-known problem with European competitions.

The statistics speak clearly: in 45 matches played in the Champions League as a coach, he has recorded only 16 wins, 14 draws and 15 losses, with an average of 1.38 points per match.

Conte's best result in this tournament remains reaching the quarter-finals with Juventus in the 2012/13 season, while on three other occasions he has been eliminated in the group stage or in the 1/8th.
