Sensational/ Absent in France's gathering, Mbappe risks prison for rape

Kylian Mbappe risks prison. The attacker allegedly raped a woman in Sweden on October 10.

The player was absent from France's squad for October's two Nations League matches and chose to spend his days off in Stockholm with his friends.

According to "Expressen" and "Aftonbladet", a report has been made to the police about the player, after a woman claims that she was raped by Mbappe.

Confirmation of the report has arrived, but the Real Madrid star's name has not been mentioned.

"In response to media reports of a suspected rape in Stockholm, it can be confirmed that a criminal complaint has been lodged with the police," the Swedish Prosecution Authority said in a statement.

If the charges are confirmed, the player risks arrest and imprisonment, which would open trouble for his career.
