The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, gave an interview recently during a television appearance, where he talked about many issues related to football in our country.

Asked about coach Sylvinho's work with the National Team and the much-discussed issue of substitutions, Duka emphasized that there is no coach who criticizes himself for the choices he makes with the players.

"It is difficult for a football coach to admit with his own mouth that he made the changes late, or did not make the right choice. In my experience I have seen few accept it. I am convinced that everyone reflects in themselves. "Sylvinho for me is a coach who has given a lot to the national team, who has a total positive performance, he obviously has his mistakes and flaws, as we all do," he said.

As, when asked if Sylvinho is paid by the government or by the federation, the number one of the AFL emphasized that the coach only has a contract with the federation and that he is paid by this institution.

"Sylvinho has a contract with the Albanian Football Federation and is paid by the AFL. These other theories are not valid. The Albanian government has really allocated a fund to the Albanian Football Federation for the year 2024, which I don't know if it is 700 thousand, more or less, but the salary and bonuses of Siylvinho and the national team are many millions of euros. I don't believe that there is any great interest in this work. If you want to know the funds that the ALF receives from the government, for the year 2024 it is somewhere around 600-700 thousand euros" - added Armando Duka, among other things.

As for the victory over Georgia, he added that it happened at the right moment.
