Lionel Messi left Barcelona at the end of the 2020-2021 season and without a doubt his move to Paris Saint Germain was one of the most sensational moves in football history.

Much has been said about the reasons that led the Argentine to take this decision, however, the Spanish newspaper "El Mundo Deportivo" shed light on his departure from Barcelona.

The Catalan newspaper has discovered several e-mails between the Argentine's father, Jorge Messi, the striker's representative, his lawyers and former president Bartomeu.

Më 11 qershor të vitit 2020, me anë të një e-mail-i janë bërë të ditura kushtet e Lionel Messit për të rinovuar kontratën e tij.

Bëhej fjalë për një marrëveshje deri në vitit 2023.  Në lidhje me pagën, argjentinasi fillimisht do të kishte 20% ulje në pagën fikse për sezonin 2020/21, megjithatë kjo do të rikuperohej 10% në sezonin 2021/22 dhe 10% në sezonin 2022/23 me 3%  interes vjetor.

Në total ishin 11 kushte, ku përfaqësuesit e Messit kishin përfshirë dhe shumë bonuse të tjera. Shtatë herë fituesi i “Topit të Artë do të përfitonte 10 milionë euro sapo të firmoste kontratën dhe gjithashtu në listë ishte përfshirë edhe organizimi i fluturimit privat për festën e Krishtlindjes për të gjithë familjen në Argjentinë.
