Argentina with full points, "drama" with goals at the end in Algeria-Austria

The third round of Group J matches at the 2026 World Cup have concluded, definitively determining the rankings of Argentina, Austria, Algeria and Jordan.

Argentina secured first place with full points after defeating Jordan 3-1 in the final match.

This result left Jordan without any points, ending their participation in this global tournament. Meanwhile, the direct confrontation between Algeria and Austria for second place ended in a 3-3 draw.

The Algerian team took the advantage in the final minutes of the game, but the Austrians managed to equalize in extra seconds.

Although both teams finished the group with four points each, Austria qualified as second in the group thanks to the better goal difference. Algeria also advanced to the knockout stage as the third-placed team.
