Belgium explodes with goals, Iran still hopes

In Group G, the final verdicts have been given on the teams that will advance.

Belgium has exploded with a resounding 5-1 victory over New Zealand, securing qualification and first place in the group thanks to the better goal difference.

Leandro Trossard with a brace, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Saelemaekers were the protagonists of this historic triumph that also marked Belgium's deepest victory in a World Cup.

In the other dramatic encounter, Iran and Egypt shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Mahmoud Saber gave the Egyptians the lead (5'), but Ramin Rezaeian equalized (15') after Taremi had missed an earlier penalty.

This draw drops Egypt to second place and will play Australia, while Iran remains anxious for a possible qualification as one of the best third countries.
